So, Game Theory is by far my favourite class.

So we brainstormed ideas for a game as an exercise, and the theme was Halloween. So, having been divided up into groups, the professor assigned a certain aspect of game design and set us off. Luckily, or unluckily for the prof, my buddy and I got put in the same group (with two others) to come up with the story.

This is where zombie terrorists and extremist right-wing Catholics came in.

We brainstormed a lot of things, one of them was the Mujaheddin, apparently. So we came up with the idea that "Mujaheddin" was some kid, whose parents forced him to go to Terrorist school. With much reluctance, he complied, and having not liked the conventional means of terrorism, he tries to create some sort of pumpkin-bomb, since Halloween was approaching. On the day of Halloween, something goes wrong and he explodes himself, dying. His parents, not wanting to be arrested for conspiracy and all that jazz, make up some elaborate farce to cover up the truth. The kid, in the form of his soul, gets pissed off and seeks revenge against his parents.

This is where the prof told us that terrorists could not be a part of the game. Boo-urns.

So, we tried to make it a political thing. Na-ah. Then, it somehow ended up having to do with some crazy extremist right-wing catholic group who wants to get rid of Halloween. They run around killing people, 'saving' them from Halloween and the evil that comes with it. They poison the candy and put bombs in the pumpkins. The bad candy transports this kid who's trying to stop them into "Crazy Cult Land" which is basically picket fences everywhere and whatnot. The cultist have monsters and shit. It stopped making sense at about this point.

Said kid is in a ghost costume trick-or-treat'ing.

So, it then developed from the cult idea into something about the cult performing a ritual that opens up a gateway to other worlds and whatnot, bringing in monsters. Said ritual was to imbue the ghost costume or some shite. Something about the sheet absorbing powers. The kid was watching the ritual and got affected by it or something.

As we introduced it to the class and heard of what they came up with for powers and villains and heroes and settings, it started to get less silly and make somewhat more sense. The kid saw the ritual and got cursed, so now he has to round up people to find the people and kill them to get rid of the curse. They find out there's many rifts all over the place and find the first one which takes them to the crazy cultist land.

Yeah, it's messed up, but you chuckled at the idea.

I'll keep you all updated on the whole idea. Maybe I can somehow turn it into a game of some sort, ehehehe.
